The 2023 centenary of Alicia de Larrocha offers the perfect excuse to revisit the exquisitely-made 2017 documentary, Les mans d'Alicia. This is the story of one of the 20th-century's great pianists - a Spanish pianist with small hands, admired and loved around the world; a story of an unbridled passion for music which takes us on a journey to discover the woman beyond the inimitable artist that was Alicia de Larrocha.

 

Les mans d'Alicia includes the participation of Alicia de Larrocha's daughter, Alicia Torra, as well as Claudia Torra, Kiko Torra, André Previn, David Frost, Gerald Schwartz, Gregor Benko, Hans Boon, Joaquín Achúcarro, Maria Joao Pires, Marta Zabaleta, Martha Argerich, Mònica Pagès, Miquel Lerín and Carles Horváth.
