'An outstanding musician.'
The Times

Welcome to an exciting new classical event concept and the chance to improve your health and wellbeing aided by the holistic musical art of inimitable Russian concert pianist, composer and qualified BWY yoga instructor, GéNIA.

In this immersive event, GéNIA - founder of the ground-breaking Piano-Yoga® method - invites you to participate in a true 'Piano-Yoga®' experience uniting mind, body and spirit. A fresh and unique response to the current 'yoga class with live music' craze, the session will pair specific yoga exercises with complementary musical performances in a symbiotic way to allow each to inform and enhance the other. Participants will be led through various yoga postures and yogic breathing exercises in between guided musical listening segments as part of a specially-curated programme designed specifically to sharpen awareness, uplift and energise. Inspired by the mystical music of Spanish composer Federico Mompou, GéNIA also harnesses the zesty and upbeat Latin vibes of Piazzolla alongside music by Scarlatti, Japanese Buddhist composer Somei Satoh and compositions from her own recently-released album Babylon. The Swiss Church, located in the heart of Covent Garden, offers the perfect setting in which to hear this luminous music, with its bright, contemporary space and clean and spacious environment. Prepare to leave this event transformed, refreshed and ready for the weekend!

PLUS Ticket includes a complimentary glass of Spanish wine and the chance to mingle and meet the artist after the event!
No previous experience of yoga is required. We recommend that you bring your yoga mat, yoga block and belt, if you have them, and be ready to take your shoes off. But if you prefer not to take part in any of the practical exercises, just sit back and enjoy the music! (Chairs will be provided.)

An enigma of the music world, GéNIA has a diverse repertoire and an enthralling stage presence. Following performances at Wigmore Hall, Southbank Centre and St Martin-in-the-Fields to name just a few, GéNIA’s concerts often take a form of a show, rather than a classical concert, as she loves to connect with her audience and make the experience very personal. GéNIA is a Caffè Nero featured classical artist and has recently enjoyed success as a composer with the release of her latest solo piano album Babylon alongside several sold-out London shows, whilst her music has been featured on the critically-acclaimed BBC TV series Killing Eve, the ITV series Cold Feet, Classic FM, BBC Radio 2, BBC London Radio, and Talk Radio, as well as in various other TV series and adverts.
