'An extraordinary guitarist.'
Join Roberto Aussel at the Royal Academy of Music on the 9th November as he shares his expertise with students in an evening of open masterclasses. Participants will work specifically on individual movements the Cinco piezas for guitar, Piazzolla's only solo guitar piece, which he was inspired to compose after hearing one of Roberto Aussel's live concerts. Aussel performed the world premiere in 1980 at the Paris UNESCO auditorium, with the maestro in the audience. In 1981, with Piazzolla on bandoneon, Aussel subsequently shared the Parisian premiere of his Double Concerto for Bandoneon, Guitar and Orchestra.
