“I have to tell the whole truth. I can tell the story of angels, but that wouldn't be the true story. My story is a mix of the devil and angels with a bit of meanness. You have to have a bit of everything to progress in life.” (Astor Piazzolla)
Piazzolla: The Years of the Shark is the first film with previously unreleased footage and pictures belonging to the Piazzolla family collection, as for the first time ever the archives of legendary bandoneon player Astor Piazzolla are opened by his son. The result is an immersive, cinematic portrait of the world-famous composer who revolutionised the tango. A film about art, family and the mysteries of creation.
