Named after Manuel Quiroga, one of the most outstanding instrumentalists of Spanish music history, the Quiroga Quartet have established themselves as one of the most dynamic and unique quartets of their generation, winning international acclaim from critics and audiences alike for their distinctive personality as well as their bold and original approach to the string quartet repertoire.

The Quartet’s programme offers the chance to hear music by the 'Spanish Mozart', Juan Cristóstomo de Arriaga, Argentina’s most important 20th-century composer, Alberto Ginastera, and contemporary Spanish composer, Cristóbal Halffter who has, amongst many things, been awarded Spain’s highest award for composition.
